Steve brings more than 40 years of experience to financial planning, and he works from one simple belief: good advice should make hard decisions simpler, not more complicated. He earned his degree from the University of Northern Colorado and has spent his career helping families and individuals reach their financial goals with clarity and confidence.
Before finance, Steve found a love for pottery and sculpture in high school. That creative streak still shows in how carefully he works through a client's plan, piece by piece, until everything fits.
Steve joined Ascend Planning Partners with Koren and Ann and brought his practice and his clients with him. That gives his clients a bigger team and a wider range of expertise. He lives by a few simple principles: be kind, don't compare yourself to others, and keep moving forward. That same approach has built client relationships that have lasted for decades.
Outside the office, Steve is a family man through and through. He loves spending time with his wife, Michelle, their two daughters, and their dog, Cookie. Last spring, the family grew when his first granddaughter was born. When he isn't with family, you'll find him out jeeping or cheering on the Colorado Avalanche.
